Finally...

...IT SNOWED!!! And this time, it was a REAL snow with REAL accumulations and insurpassable roads. The warning came on Thursday that snow was definitely in the forecast for the weekend. So, on Saturday morning I woke up expecting inches of snow...instead we had about a half and inch. By mid-day it was all gone. This girl was NOT happy. Don't tell me to expect a blizzard if I'm only going to get a half an inch. About noon on Saturday, I looked out and all of a sudden, the clouds opened up and the snow was released!!! It was absolutely beautiful! It snowed pretty much the rest of the day and by nightfall, the ground was covered, the roads were starting to get covered and the inches (yes, I am finally able to write inches) started stacking up! WOOHOO!! After the snow fell all day Sunday, we ended up with about 6-7 inches. Of course the sun came out for part of the day and we lost some of it. But, it's Monday morning, the roads are still snowy, there is a beautiful white blanket all around, all the schools are closed and at it is STILL snowing!! I LOVE IT!!! Marty and I went driving around the community yesterday afternoon to check out the conditions, and they were trecherous in places. While I haven't been out to play in it, our neighrhood famlies have. My favorite part was when they all went up on the bank behind our house and started sledding. All I could hear was the sweet sounds of little children screaming for joy as they took turns sledding down that huge hill. What a beautiful weekend!

(There are supposed to be some pictures here, but for some reason they don't want to be uploaded onto my blog...so check back later for some pictures of the winter wonderland!)

I'm so excited for you! It was such a tease here in Nashville. They said expect 2-4 inches...I don't think we ever got more than 1/2 inch. :( Oh well!

WooHoo friend...gotta love snow! I wish you could send a little my way! Chilly, yucky rain is just not the same as snow!

I am so glad that YOU ARE FINALLY HAPPY! :) I'm not a big snow fan myself, but I did do the snow dance just for you this time! And I really don't mind the day off today...however, I know what happens. I get SPOILED! When we have to go to school tomorrow, I will NOT want to go...even if it is a delay. Oh well. I guess I'll suck it up and join the rest of working America, huh? Enjoy the snow. When the kids go sledding today, you should go out with them!!! Then send us pictures of THAT! :)
