Things I Love Thursdays 2.23.06

Thing I Love: Bargains

Confession: I am a clearance rack shopper with the best of them. Chances are that if I'm wearing it, it was on sale, or someone gave it to me. And I'm not talking 25% off...that's for wimps. If it's not 50% off I usually won't buy it. I get it honest from my mom(who went to Greensboro for a conference a few years back and came back with over $1000 of clothes and only spent $300!!!). It's not that I'm cheap, I just think that if they can sell it to me at 50% off, then I can control myself long enough to wait until it's 50% off and then make a purchase. They aren't losing money, and I'm saving a bunch of it! Outlet/Factory stores/seasonal clearances are my favorite. All the stores want to do is get rid of stuff, and more times than not, it comes home with me. One of my all time favorite purchases was at Old Navy (shocker, I know). I was in Raleigh, I think, and I bought a cute little sundress-knee length, wide shoulder straps, cute pink flowers all over white background, it was WAY cute. It was regularly priced at $24.99. When I saw the big red sticker on the side, I imediately had to see if it's reduced price was worthy of my money...and yes it was. For $1.99 (yes, you read it right) that dress was mine. I almost wanted to by 10 of them because they were SO cheap. One tears, up, I'd have 9 more! Well, needless to say, this dress is still hanging in my closet, and I have more than gotten my money's worth out of it. I also love my $2.50 shorts from Kohl's and my $4 cableknit sweater & $7 khaki jacket from Aeropostale. Cheap clothes are fun!

WooHoo to bargain shopping! I am all about that. I miss our trips to Commerce! We need to plan one soon so that we can find some good sales and bargains. I still wear my black pants from Aeropostale...we really got those at a good price too! Ha!
